That Look

That look
Their eyes meet across the busy room, holding each other's gaze longer than they should. She felt her heart leap in her chest, her mouth went dry. There was something about him, what was it. Did she, no she couldn't.
He was still looking at her, did he feel it too she wondered, but what was it.
She watched him move around the party, she was aware that he was watching her also. She couldn't work it out what was it.
He's the one, I know it. Oh god, he's the one, he's coming over. She felt her hands grow clammy, her heart beating faster, she tried to move, her feet wouldn't budge. Was this is it, she gulped the colour draining from her face. She lifted her hand towards him, and finally found the words "It was him, he killed my mother."
