Her - An Unreliable Narrator

Her
Who does she think she is, gets nominated for one award, and she thinks she’s it. She is playing it down of course, but that's just for attention, so she can pretend she is some sort of saint. She thinks she is so bloody perfect.
She isn’t that good though, she, you want tell anyone will you, well Christmas party last year. We had it in that new hotel in town, you know that big one Well there was these lads there from the local rugby team there were in the next room to us, but she and I saw her, well I didn’t but Janice did. She was out the back by the kitchens kissing him, yep, she was I mean at her age, it’s shocking. Well Janice says she saw them going up to a room, of course I’m not one for gossip you understand, but well, the facts speak for themselves don’t they?
Then there was that promotion she got in the summer, well, that was dodgy, clearly sleeping with the boss. He’s always had an eye for the young trollops, he has, of course, he has always had a bit of thing for me, but I wouldn’t do anything like that. She on the other hand, well she has no moral values at all, she pretends she does, talks all lardy da, but we all know she’s not.
According to Beth, she knows his old secretary Alison, and she said that she had booked him a double room for the conference last year, no prizes for guessing who he took, and you can bet it wasn’t his wife.

She struts around in her high heels, her hair piled up on top of her head, bright red lipstick, she’s wearing an engagement ring, we all know she isn’t really engaged, it’s just a cover, I’m mean who’d want her with her moral values, if she has got a fella, I bet he is some sort of dropout. I  on the other hand could have any man I wanted, I’m just saving myself, waiting for the right man to come along.
